1. Anonymous-First Architecture
You do not need an account to browse questions, apply company or topic filters, or track your solved problems. All progress by default is persisted locally inside your browser's localStorage.
2. Registered Account Data
If you choose to create an account to synchronize your progress across devices, we collect only:
- Name: For UI greeting and profile display.
- Email Address: For unique account identification.
- Hashed Password: Standard PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with 100,000 iterations and cryptographic salting. We never store plaintext passwords.
- Practice Progress: Solved/attempted status, bookmarks, and personal notes.
3. Product Analytics & Telemetry
We use PostHog and Cloudflare Web Analytics to monitor aggregate traffic, system health, and high-frequency problem trends.
Our analytics implementation enforces strict privacy guardrails:
- No email addresses or names are sent in analytics events.
- Personal notes and typed solutions are never tracked.
- Keystroke logging and session replay are disabled.
- All event distinct IDs use pseudonymous UUIDs.
4. GDPR / CCPA Data Rights: Export & Deletion
You have full ownership of your data at all times:
Export all your saved progress and personal notes in machine-readable JSON format directly from your Progress Dashboard or via GET /api/v1/user/export.
Permanently delete your account, session tokens, and database records via DELETE /api/v1/user/account. Cascade deletion removes all associated records immediately.
